Mangaluru, Sep 22: “Karnataka state received verdict but not justice from the Supreme Court. Chief minister Siddaramaiah has called a legislative session on Cauvery water dispute on the interest of people of Karnataka. Unfortunately, BJP took off their mask by being absent from all party meeting,” said state minister UT Khader.
He was addressing a press meet at the circuit house here on Thursday September 22.
“They (BJP) have failed to show solidarity with the people of state. Political party representatives never compromise in showing solidarity with people but unfortunately in state BJP has failed. PM should intervene in Cauvery dispute. Though CM has written a letter to PM to intervene in this matter, there is no response from the PMO so far. PM has concerns for the people of Baluchistan but why can’t he show the same concern for people of Karnataka. At least PM would have sent union water resource minister to state to address the grievance. We are ready for the decision with Tamil Nadu CM and make any sacrifice necessary for the state.”
Khader also condemned the terror attack in Uri which claimed the life of 18 soldiers.
He informed that 2kg double fortified salt will be provided for Rs 2 at all PDS centres from January 2, 2017.
