Bengaluru, Sep 25: Ashwin Rao, son of former Lokayukta, Justice Y Bhaskar Rao, who is the main accused in the alleged corruption scandal in Lokayukta, has secured bail. However, he has not been able to come out of the jail as he has so far not been able to meet bail conditions.
Rao had got conditional bail five days back. But he has not been able to furnish a surety who is solvent enough to meet bail conditions so far. With Ashwin, five more accused too continue to be inside the prison for the same purpose.
Eight accused had got bail through the high court on September 19. Among them, V Bhaskar alias 420 Bhaskar and former Lokayukta public relations officer, Syed Riaz, have complied with bail conditions and released from judicial custody.
