Moodbidri, Sep 26: A woman from Bangerapadavu in Niddodi here ended her life on the night of Saturday September 24. It is said that she was depressed over the bond of her marital relationship that was on the verge of getting severed.
The victim was Bharathi (34), wife of Chandrashekhar, from Bangerapadavu. She had married Chandrashekhar, a resident of Shaktinagara Mangaluru, two years back. Within two months of marriage, her relationship with her husband went sour, and she returned to her parental home here. She had sought divorce, and the case was being heard by the court.
It is said that Bharathi was distressed over this development. She jumped into a well on Saturday night, as per information gathered. A suicide case was registered in the local police station.
