Bantwal: Police arrest four for selling ganja

Bantwal, Sep 27: Policemen from the town station here arrested four persons on the evening of Monday September 26. The arrested accused have been accused of trying to sell ganja to some shops in Baddakatte area here.

The arrested persons are, Saleem (36), Rizwan (22), Mansoor (23), and Nithin (23) from the town. Town station police sub-inspector, Nandakumar, led a team of policemen to the spot based on reliable information, and arrested the accused. 150 grams of ganja worth about Rs 10,000 was seized from their possession.

A case has been registered in the town police station here in this connection. Further investigation is being conducted. On being produced before the magistrate, they were remanded to judicial custody.
