Mangaluru: Beary Language Day to start on October 3

Mangaluru, Sep 29: Karnataka Beary Sahitya academy to observe a week-long program to mark the Beary Language Day from October 3 to October 9, informed academy president B A Mohammed Haneef.

Addressing media persons here at academy office at Attavar on September 29, Haneef said, "Dakshina Kannada district wakf president Rashid Haji will inaugurate the Beary Language Day on October 3, at academy office in Attavar at 9.30 am."

He also enlisted the series of events for the days to follow.



Series of Events

  • On October 4, 'interdstrict Beary Bhasha sangama' will be held at Pingara hall, Hotel Pallvi

at 3.00 pm.

  • On October 5, Beary proverb and riddles competition at academy office in Attavar at 9.30 am.
  • On October 6, Interstate programme at BSS college Uppala, Kasargod district at 10.00 am.
  • On October 7, Women's Beary reading competition at academy office at 3.00 pm.
  • On October 8, 'Beary Koodaket' and direct interaction with former minister BA Moideen at hotel Srinivas at 3.00 pm.

"Language week valedictory program will be held on October 9, in Townhall at 2.30 pm. On this occasion, Beary matrimonial website will be launched. Valedictory program will be on air in Akashavani from 3 pm to 6 pm on the same day. District in charge minister will be present for the valedictory program," said Haneef.

Rigistrar Umarabba, members Usuf Wakthar, Mohammed Zakaria Kalladka and others were present at the press addressal.
