Mangaluru: Capitanio bangle theft culprits arrested

Mangaluru, Sep 30: Mangaluru rural police have arrested two suspects concerning the theft of gold bangle from a house in Simon Lane, Capitanio, here. Veena alias Beena, a tenant in a rented house in Shaktinagar and Rajnish of Moodushedde Shivanagar, are the suspects. They are currently in judicial custody.

A gold bangle was stolen from the house of Theresa D’Souza, at Capitanio Simon lane.  The house owners had expressed suspicion on the house maid Veena alias Beena.  Investigations had revealed that the bangle was given to Rajnish.  Police nabbed Rajnish on Tuesday in Moodshedde. The arrests have thrown more light in the case.

When Rajnish was in the jail due to the robbery case, he had met Shootout suspect, Beena’s husband Ravindra, who was also in the jail.  When Rajnish was being released, he had asked Rajnish to release him on bail taking money given by Beena.  In the circumstances, Beena had stolen the bangle from the house where she was working.
