Kundapur: Lorry hits divider, topples in Maharashtra – Youth dies

Kundapur, Sep 30: A paddy laden lorry has hit the road divider at Savantavadi, Maharastra on Thursday morning, September 29 and toppled. Lorry driver, from the Bantwadi bridge vicinity, Vishwanatha Nayak(23), the elder son of Govinda Nayak  died in the accident.


Vishwanatha Nayak being a sincere worker was trusted by all.  The Lorry was plying back after unloading goods in Rathnagiri on Tuesday and after loading paddy on Wednesday. As the Lorry did not have a conductor, Nayak  called Pradeep, the conductor of another Lorry, with him.  Pradeep has escaped with minor injuries.  Pradeep has said that driver Vishwanatha had told him a little while before the accident that the Lorry is getting pulled towards a side.  The accident has occurred soon afterwards.

The dead body was brought to Kundapur government hospital  12.30 last night and has been kept in a morgue.
