Puttur, Oct 3: A married woman hanged herself at her home at Hemadri in Darandakukku village in the taluk. This tragic incident is likely to have happened during the early hours of Saturday October 1.
The victim happened to be Padmapriya, wife of Ravikumar. After the family members comprising the couple and their two children went to bed at around 11.30 pm on Friday, Padmapriya hanged herself from the beams of the roof inside the stock room attached to the house. Her body was found hanging on Saturday morning.
It is said that Padmapriya was suffering from bouts of depression. She has left behind her husband, a six-year-old son and two-year-old daughter.
On the basis of a complaint filed by Ravikumar, police personnel of the town station here have registered a case.
