Mangaluru: Free health checkup camp organized

Mangaluru, Oct 3: To celebrate the completion of seven years of service to the public by Mangalore Sauharda Cooperative Ltd Jeppu, a free medical checkup camp was organized by it in association with Shantinagara Seva Samiti and A J Institute of Medical Sciences in the city on Sunday October 2. Ivan D'Souza, chief whip of the ruling party in the legislative council, led the camp that was held near Mangalore Store, Shantinagara, Jeppu from 9 am onwards on Sunday October 2.

D'Souza inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. Former corporator, Bhaskar Rao K, who also happens to be the president of the society, welcomed and delivered the introductory address. Neha Vekal rendered the prayer. Dr Kavita D'Souza, doctor of A J Hospital, corporator, Shylaja, and others were present.

Kalpana Venkatesh presented the programme. Director of the society, Pundaleeka Suvarna, proposed the vote of thanks.
