Udupi, Oct 3: All the five accused in the sensational Bhaskar Shetty were produced in court on Monday October 3.
Main accused Rajeshwari, Navaneet and Niranjan Bhat were sent to judicial custody again till October 17.
Other two accused Srinivasa Bhat and Raghavendra will walk out from prison soon as they have secured bail on October 1. Since the lawyers could not produce the court order copy to the sub-jail in Hiriadka, their stay there will continue for another day or two. Once the order copy comes, they will have to furnish bond and meet the conditions specified in the bail to go home.
35 more days are left for the deadline to submit the chargesheet to the court.
All the accused were brought to court in police vehicle. There were objections last time when Rajeshwari was brought in a bus. More security was also seen this time as the lawyer for Rajeshwari had said that his client could be targeted.
It was a normal court proceeding like before except that Niranjan Bhat and Rajeshwari were seen in new clothes.
