Javi Martinez leaves Spain's training camp due to muscle injury

Madrid, Oct 4 (IANS): Spain midfielder Javi Martinez will not play with his national football team in the next few 2018 World Cup qualifiers due to a muscle injury that forced him to leave the training camp.

Spain coach Julen Lopetegui on Sunday called on another midfielder Iñigo Martinez before meeting with the Bayern Munich player, who on Monday underwent medical tests, ruling him out of the selection of Spain's two upcoming games against Italy and Albania, reports Efe.

The coaching staff already knew the condition of Javi through medical reports from Bayern Munich.
