Yadagiri, Oct 5: In a shocking incident, a small girl was found dead in a well in front of her house at Boodinal village of Shahapur taluk on Tuesday morning of October 4.

18-month-old Amrita, second daughter of Basayya Swami and Lakshmi, is the victim.

It is strongly suspected that the girl was killed for the purpose of black magic as materials used for the witchcraft were found at the spot.

Amrita, who was sleeping with her mother on Monday night, went missing all of a sudden when Lakshmi woke up at around 3 am. The family members searched for Amrita and later found her body floating in the well.

People including Rachaiah, the girl’s grandfather, opined that Amrita might have been killed in a witchcraft performed as part of a treasure hunt.

District superintendent of police Vinayak Patil visited the spot with his personnel.

Vadagera police have registered a case and are investigating.

Arrest all those mantriks who undertake these barbaric sins. The poor section of our society are still the victims. The government of the day should hunt for such mantriks and prosecute them.

    Can any believe!
Even if she was kidnapped by a stranger, the kid would have made some noise.
    What a tragedy.
The culprits should be caught and punished for this act.

v sad incident. the little innocent angel became victim of false power and greed.

All these witches and black magicians are followers of satans and cults, they have cheat ignorant people in name of power and greed for wealth. People should keen close eye on such cult people and stop their activities. mostly they target small children

The baby was sleeping with her mother, her grandfather suspects it to be witchcraft, then who did the sacrificing ritual ? Her father ???

Do we want riches at the cost of our children's life ? If so, couldn't his father have offered him as sacrifice instead of raising him ?
