On a conservative estimate, atleast 75% of the buildings constructed in Bengaluru during the past 14-15 years, are having encroachments, deviations from sanctioned plan and various other irregularities.

The degree of complacency on the part of various officials & amount of money changing hands would be simply mind-boggling. God save our country from these crooks/looters/disgusting characters!

RIP to the innocent victims, and hope the injured persons recover quickly.

you want to know the level of corruption in this country. Last year a building had collapsed near tilak nagar,. the ground floor had just collapsed and the building had rested on itself. Some casualties were there and there was a hue and cry saying that the building must be demolished and the builder arrested. Today the building stands the first floor has become the ground floor and there are four floors above it. Just imagine the amount of money that must have changed hands. Its not Congress or the BJP or any other political parties fault. ITS OUR FAULT THAT WE PAY.

If everything had gone right there might have been a ten storey building instead.

The collapse has just shown the magnitude of corruption between the licensor and the licensee.

God help the poor and helpless laborers. RIP to the dead.

So many reasons to connect this incident.
Explosion may be part of the cause. May be laborers were using the space below for cooking purpose and gas cylinder exploded.
Pity those who are trapped and let us hope they will be safely rescued. God have mercy.
