Bengaluru, Oct 6: Former deputy superintendent of police (DySP), Anupama Shenoy, who had resigned from her job when working in Kudligi, filed a complaint in Halsur Gate station here on Tuesday October 4, alleging that she had faced injustice in the matter of transfer when in service. Her complaint came after months since she resigned reportedly over disagreement with higher officials relating to her determination to contain liquor lobby.

"During the town panchayat election at Kuddligi, I had been abruptly and forcibly transferred to Indi. Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah, director general of police, Omprakash, chief election officer, the then Ballari district in-charge minister, Parameshwar Naik, superintendent of police, Chetan, and Ballari MP, Sriramulu, were responsible for this compulsory transfer. Therefore, legal action should be taken against these people," Shenoy has requested in her complaint.

Sources said that the police who received the complaint told Anupama that they were unable to file first information report on the basis of her complaint immediately. They however, assured her of consulting legal experts and higher officials before taking further action on her complaint. Additional city police commissioner (west), Charan Reddy, said that transfer of government officials is covered by administrative rules. Therefore, he said the issue will be scrutinized properly before anything is done on it.

Anupama was working in Kudligi when she was suddenly transferred to Indi, After this transfer was given lot of publicity by the media and the minister reportedly was caught boasting about he being responsible for the transfer which caught attention of the public, she was transferred back to Kudligi.
