Mangaluru: Hejamady tollgate to become functional by December end

Mangaluru, Oct 7: It is learnt that collection of toll charges at the toll plaza at Hejamady for national highway 66 will begin by the end of this year. This was stated by Babu Reddy, managing director of Hyderbad United 18 Projects.

He gave this information during his visit to Goddess Durgaparameshwari temple at Bappanadu, Mulky, on Thursday October 6. He also added that four ambulances, services of which would be free, would be stationed at the tollgate.



It may be recalled that there has been bitter opposition to collection of charges at tollgates without completion of road development work.

    Yes, first let them clear Padubedri block. Two important rules - 1.To operationalize tollgate you need complete 95% of work of the stretch. 2. The minimum distance between two tollgate is 60 KM. If Padubedri is operationalized are they going to close Surathkal ? Are they going to violate these rules ?

    Padubidiri road widening work not at all started, and in Mulki service road, on left side way to udupi from mulki busstand to karnad petrol bunk still not completed, no Busstand , and how
    they start toll gate ?

    Toll can be collected only if there is no blockages and free flow of traffic on road. Why Padubiri junction road widening problem is solved. Even Mulki bus stand is totally invaded by highway. Please provide suitable and comfortable bus stop for Mulki.

    choorandala nachige apujja mukleg when will we get functional roads. no drains, huge potholes in existing toll road at panambur.
    Govt give contract to some HYD company, no accountability for them . what local MP/ MLA are doing? look at condition of the road. really shame on so called "budhdhi vantara jille".. :(
