Honnavar: Car hits bridge near Kumta - 2 die, 6 seriously injured

Honnavar, Oct 7: A car hit a bridge at Mirjan around five kilometres from Kumta in the taluk and 2 people died and 6 persons have been seriously injured as a result on Friday, October 7.

6-year old boy Abdul Karim Khan and his uncle Abdul Majid Khan are the persons deceased.

Abdul Majid Khan was driving the Swift Desire car carrying 8 persons from Goa airport after dropping his young brother Abdul Musheer Khan. The car, on its way to Honnavar Saladgiri, hit the bridge while it was on high speed, said eye witnesses.

Injured have been taken to a private hospital in Honnavar.
