Beltangady: Man commits suicide by consuming poison

Beltangady, Oct 7: A person committed suicide by consuming poison at Tenkakarandoor village in the taluk on Thursday, October 6.

The deceased was Raghava Poojary (46) from Kapinadka Majalu House. Frustrated at some unexplained issues, he consumed poison. Soon, Poojary started to writhe with pain and shouted for help. Family members immediately took him to the government hospital here and then to Mangaluru for advanced treatment.

Poojary did not respond to efforts made to save him, and died at Mangaluru hospital. A case of unnatural death stands registered in Venoor police station relating to this incident.
