Mangaluru, Oct 7: A lineman from Mescom was injured and was taken to a private hospital after the branch of a tree fell on his head while he was repairing an electric line.
The incident happened near St Aloysius Primary School compound at Karangalpady in city on Friday, October 7.
It is said that when a tree was being cut, as proper precaution was not taken, the branch of the tree fell on a high tension electric wire. When a lineman from Mescom came and climbed up the pole to restore the power, the branch of tree fell on his head badly injuring him.
A bus which was speeding on the road worsened the problem. It went over the wire and cut it into two.
This shows the negligence on the part of people who volunteered to cut the tree for whatever purpose. But the end result was obviously bad.
