The newly created station, which will be known as urban police station, will have its office in a rented accommodation near Brahma Baidarkala Garodi in Nagori, he explained. He said that there was demand for bifurcating the rural station because of the size of the area and population covered by it.

Pachchanady, Ulaibettu, Mallur, Bodantila, Neermarga, Adyar, Arkula, Kudupu and Tiruvail will fall under the rural station after the bifurcation, while urban police station will have jurisdiction over Alape, Maroli, Kankanady, Jeppinamogaru, Bajal, Kannur, Adamkudru areas, it is gathered.

Looks like some old Go-down or handloom factory of yester years.

Any ways there is enough place to park vehicles and even to have some routine exercise or drill by the police. First let them serve the real purpose and them some face lift of this building. (smart City needs that)

No point just adding one more rural station or by increasing number of police stations. Add more man power too. fill up the vacant posts.

Divide and Rule is the best policy. Always better to split the vast area of the respective jurisdiction for effective and best administration of the Police Stations. The other Police Stations also needs to be bifurcated like this.

Good decision. The area was too vast for the police station to efficiently manage..
