Kasargod, Oct 9: A crack was detected on the railway track at Kalnad near here on Sunday, October 9.
The crack was found at a place 100 meters away from the Kalnad station when Maveli Express train from Mangaluru was about to pass.

The crack was examined and repaired by the engineering section of the railways. Maveli Express train, which was stopped, was later allowed to pass after a delay of half an hour.

Some stones were found at the place of the crack. Hence chances of sabotage are not ruled out, though the crack was small.

Recent two incidents of disrupting railway service are remembered and the police said that they have taken all these incidents seriously.

All the trains have been told move at 20 kilometre speed here till further notice.
