Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Oct 12: Reportedly, a ten-member gang attacked the members of a family travelling by a vehicle on the night of Monday October 10. They were angry that the Tempo Traveller vehicle in which the family was moving, had brushed against a Honda Activa two-wheeler. The incident reportedly took place near Narahari Parvatha near Kalladka.

A family was moving to Mangaluru from Bengaluru in a Tempo Traveller vehicle. It is being claimed that the vehicle brushed against the Honda Activa vehicle in question that was driven by a local youth. As the vehicle went away without stopping, the youth contacted his friends over phone and told them about the vehicle. Some youngsters then chased the vehicle, intercepted it near Narahari Parvatha and attacked those seated inside, it is being claimed.

The injured got admitted into a private hospital at B C Road. It is said that the police took into custody two members of the assailant gang, Yogesh and Kiran. Instead of filing first information report, they managed to strike compromise between the two sides, reports said.

Good to see the police becoming more responsible.
Instead of FIR, case and increasing tensions between communities, they resorted for a compromise.
    Good going.

Injuring travelers is not right.Stopping the vehicle and handing them over to the police would be the right thing to do.Youth shouldn't easily resort to physical violence.
