Dubai, Oct 12: Rhythm Events presents Kevin Misquith Live in concert on Friday, November 4th in Emirates theatre, Emirates International school, Dubai at 5.30 pm
Kevin Misquith first emerged in the Konkani music scene in 2004 with the release of his debut album ‘Rupnem’. Since then he has never looked back and has been performing consistently providing quality music. Producing four music albums and performing in several music shows, today he is well known among the Konkani music lovers around the world. His dedication and passion towards music today has won him a dedicated band of fans, followers and admirers in Konkani music.
Following the huge response for his debut album, he released yet another Konkani hit album ‘TujiYaad’ in 2007. His third music album, ‘He Jeen’ in 2008, too had a very good response from the Konkani and non-Konkani music lovers, and was a huge success. The album was nominated at The Global Konkani Music Awards and won the award in the Best Lyricist category. The song & the album “ThembeThembe” was such a big hit that a host of Konkani songs on rains were released after that, almost every other album had a song on rains.
He has performed live in Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Goa and even internationally in the Middle East countries for various music shows, festivals & his own Kevin Misquith live-in Concerts. He is the only Konkani music composer after the great legends to have performed 37 music nites in a quick succession at a very young age. He is also the founder and lead vocalist of his ‘Band Milestone’, which has been the most successful and popular music band of Mangalore in the recent years.
About band Milestone
Milestone is one of the most youthful and talented music bands of Mangalore. It has carved out a place for itself in the hearts of Mangalorean music buffs since it came into existence in the year 2009.
Be it a wedding reception, private party, a college gig or a corporate event, Milestone has always enthralled the audience with their performances, ranging from soft ballads, disco, rock, pop, folk, fusion to foot-tapping Baila numbers. Milestone plays all kinds of genres, with a blend of coastal essence to go with it.
The Artistes
• Ashwin Sequeira: The acoustic rhythm guitarist and co-vocalist of the band. He lends his voice to add to the magic which defines the band.
• Clyde Lobo: The lead guitarist of the band who lends the magical melody of the guitar.
• Jackson Noronha: The man on the keys. He also plays the guitar and adds magic to the song with his voice.
• Rikith Leonard Soans: The bass guitarist, and an unsung hero, supporting melody while syncing with the team to bring out a wonderful piece of music.
• Ian Sachin Saldanha: The rhythm maker and the youngest member of the band who creates wonders with his drum sticks.
