Bagalkot: Three perish in car-auto rickshaw collision

Bagalkot, Oct 20: Three persons lost their lives after a car and an auto rickshaw got involved in a head-on collision near Kadarakhandi Cross on Jamakhandi-Kudachi main road in the wee hours of Wednesday, October 19.

Shakeel Imamsab Rajannavar (35) from Rampur village, who was the driver of the ill-fated auto rickshaw, Inayatulla Bandenawaz Kankanawadi (6) and Sadhiya Bandenawaz Kankanwadi (4), both from Jamakhandi, died in this accident.

Another auto-rickshaw passenger, Meenaz Bandenawaz Kankanwadi, suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted to hospital for treatment.

The car that was moving from Banahatti via Jamakhandi hit the autorickshaw. Recklessness on the part of car driver reportedly caused this accident.

A case stands registered in rural police station of Jamakhandi, and police sub-inspector, Pundaleek M Patakar, has taken up investigation
