Mangaluru: 'Samskrathika Sinchana' held at Kulshekar

Mangaluru, Oct 24: Kunjir Guruswamy Charmadi inaugurated 'Samskrathika Sinchana' (cultural sprinkling) 2016 programme held by Dharma Shastra Mandira trust, Jyothi Nagara on Sunday, October 23.

Four Winds Mass Communication director, E Fernandes lit the traditional lamp. Rangoli competitions, competitions on tying flowers, devotional songs, drawing competitions for children and cultural competitions were held on the occasion.

Trustee of the Mandira and president Ramprasad S, chief secretary Mahalingeshwara Bhat, treasurer Girish Kumar M, Arun Rao, Krishnappa Tailor, auditorium construction committee president Srinivas S, Pradeep Kumar, Koosappa Paldane, Vaman B M, Sunder, Sanjiva, Harish, Ramesh, Jayanthi, Dharnappa, Latha Acharya, Shashikala Balan, Ashok, Rajendra, Prasad, Neetha, Ashok and others were present.

Community prayers to Ayyappa Swamy were held in the morning followed by Satyanarayana Pooja and public meals in the afternoon. Several competitions and religious meetings were held in the evening.
