Mangaluru, Oct 12: Karnataka Bank announced the launch of "Trade Konnect", a digital platform that enables customers to submit requests for import, export transactions and outward cross border remittances online, anytime, anywhere eliminating the need for physical branch visits.

The platform was formally launched by Raghavendra S Bhat, managing director & CEO of Karnataka Bank, through a virtual ceremony held at the Bank's head office in Mangaluru.

Speaking on the occasion, Raghavendra S Bhat, managing director & CEO of the Bank said: “Implementing the digital platform ‘Trade Konnect’ for online submission of forex transaction and cross-border outward remittance requests is a significant step towards enhancing customer experience and accelerating the Bank's digital transformation. The platform is designed to support the evolving requirements of businesses engaged in international trade and individuals undertaking foreign remittances by providing a seamless, secure and efficient digital channel. Customer convenience and improving the ease of doing transactions will be at the forefront of our digital approach which will further enhance value to our customers.”

Speaking about the platform, Biji S S, executive director, added: “The Bank is focused on leveraging technology to make banking simpler, faster and more accessible to our customers. This digital platform provides a convenient way for our customers to submit requests for key cross border trade and remittance transactions, reinforcing our vision of delivering an enhanced digital banking experience.”

The event was attended by Biji S S, executive director, Chandrashekar, chief business officer, Raja B S, chief operating officer along with other senior executives of the Bank. Jai Shah, co-founder & director-sales of the technology partner for the platform, Kyzer Software (India) Pvt. Ltd., was also present on the occasion.
