Mangaluru, Nov 14: Just as Mangalureans are sinking in the news of Mangaluru making it to the list of Smart Cities, there is good news coming in as well, from another quarter. A few well-known IT companies are all set to make Mangaluru their preferred destination. 

Thanks to the initiative of Mangalore Internet City Pvt. Ltd (MIC), the French based IT Company Interlog Services has already begun operating from ‘Mangalore Hills’. MIC has been in the forefront in fuelling Mangaluru’s graph, making an early beginning to Mangaluru’s growth as a smart city through its prestigious project, Mangalore Hills.

Thus, Interlog has become the first IT Company to set up its offices in the IT Park of Mangalore Hills, which was just a curtain raiser in its challenging task of putting Mangaluru on the fast track of progress. Following in the footsteps of Interlog Services, many more IT companies have shown keen interest in setting up their offices and are going to begin operations from this emerging IT destination of Mangaluru. MIC has thus set the ball rolling as a first step towards making Mangaluru a Smart City. 

This is really a cause for celebration because more IT companies means generation of more jobs and that is really a good beginning in the right direction this a model Smart City. Since creation of more jobs by giving impetus to start ups is the main mission of MIC, attracting more IT companies to its IT Park will give a big thrust to the economic progress of Mangaluru. In a way, MIC has given a real impetus to emergence of Mangaluru as a model Smart City as its ground work and smart planning of almost a decade has now started paying rich dividend to Mangalureans. MIC has led an example for others to follow in terms of envisaging the city’s potential for growth, even before the smart city concept came into vogue in India.

This only goes to prove beyond doubt that MIC was way ahead in its vision and approach to take Mangaluru towards the path of progress. It is not surprising therefore that people, business establishments and IT companies have begun to notice Mangalore Hills - the first and the only kind of its project in Mangaluru. 2. Facility Officer: Graduate with the knowledge of building management, construction management and facility management preferably from real estate industry experience.

3. Site Engineers: BE/B’ Tech/Diploma in civil with 2-4 years of experience in project execution and site supervision.
