Puttur: Hit and run case - victim dies

Puttur, Nov 17: A motor bike rider who fell onto the road after an unidentified vehicle hit him and did not care to stop, later died at a private hospital at Mangaluru. The victim has been identified as Gunakar (36), a resident of Banari ub Uruvualu village.

Gunakar was a driver by profession. On Tuesday night, he was going on a motor bike to his house from Uppinangady when a vehicle sped away after knocking him down at Kolli in Karaya village. Some passersby saw him lying in a critical state on the road and arranged to admit him into a private hospital at Mangaluru. However, he did not respond to treatment and lost his life later.

Traffic police here have registered this case.
