Udupi, Nov 18: Suresh (52), resident of Laxminagara sixth cross at Tenkanidiyur here was found dead in a storm drain here on the night of Wednesday November 16.
Suresh had left his home at around 7.30 PM on Wednesday, telling other family members that he would be attending a programme at the house of an acquaintance near Garade in Laxminagara. By 9 PM the same day, his family members got a call by a person saying, Suresh was found to have fallen from a height into the drain at fifth cross of Laxminagara.
Suresh's younger brother, Rajendra, then rushed to the spot and found that Suresh was inside the drain. He was unable to speak. He was then brought out and taken to the government hospital here, but the doctors said that he had already breathed his last.
A case of unnatural death stands registered in Malpe police station here relating to this incident.
