Bengaluru, Nov 19: JD(S) leader and former Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike corporator, Govinde Gowda, his wife, and seven contractor killers have been arrested by policemen of Kamakshipalya police station in the city. They have been accused of murdering BJP leader, Chikkathimme Gowda recently near Hegganahalli Cross.

Govinde Gowda, resident of Laxman Nagara in Sunkadakatte, his wife, Varamahalakshmi, contract killers, Manikanta alias Kachins Harish from Sunkadakatte, Manikanta alias Yogesh from Hoysala Nagara, Suresh alias RX Suri from Vijayanagara M C Layout, A Mathew alias Ajeya from Chandra layout, Sanaulla from Kachohalli and Yuvaraj from Mallattahalli have been arrested.

The police are now hunting from four accused including close aide of Govide Gowda and those who participated in the murder plan. The weapon used for murder, motor bike, and cash connected with the murder have been seized from the arrested accused.
