Bantwal, Nov 19: Ishwar Naik (65), resident of Nerolumoole near Kollaguli of Alike village in the taluk ended his life by hanging.
Ishwar had left home on Wednesday. His family members thought that he had gone to visit the house of his daughter, as he often does. Therefore, they did not search for him. Some workers who visited a nearby hillock to collect green grass on Thursday November 17 saw the body of Ishwar hanging from a tree.
Vittal station house officer, Praksh Devadiga, and other personnel visited the spot and conducted investigation. On the basis of a complaint filed by the son of the deceased, a case stands registered at Vittal police station.
