Puttur: Two students go missing from Kombettu hostel

Puttur, Nov 22: Two students staying at backward communities and minorities (BCM) hostel at Kombettu here went missing. It is said they had left the hostel for the stated purpose of visiting Lord Mahalingeshwara temple nearby.

It is said that on Sunday November 20, two students, Harsha (14) from Sakleshpur in Hassan district, and Belliappa (14) from Chikkamgaluru had left the hostel for paying obeisance at Lord Mahalingeshwara temple. They had obtained the warden's permission before going out.

As the two did not come back, the warden of the hostel filed a complaint at the city police station here. The police, who launched an investigation, got information that these two student took a train and reached Chennai. Policemen have now been deputed to Chennai to find out the inmates of the hostel and bring them back.
