Moodbidri: Man electrocuted when executing painting work

Moodbidri, Nov 23: In a tragic incident which occurred at Vishalnagar at Prantya village near here on Monday November 21 evening, a person who was engaged in painting a building was electrocuted after electricity flowed through the paint brush he was holding.

The deceased was Ashish M (32) from Moodigere. As Ashish's wife is from Punjalkatte, he mostly used to conduct painting work of buildings in this region. At the request of a relative, he had taken up painting work of a house belonging to Shahida at Vishalnagar along with three other painters.

Ashish was doing painting work with a rolling brush. After the brush accidentally came in contact with live wire passing nearby, he got electrocuted.

The deceased has left behind his wife. A case about this accidental death was registered at the police station here.
