Mangaluru: SJEC excels in VTU Annual Athletic Meet

Mangaluru,Nov 28: The Athletic team of St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru put on a good performance in the recently held 19th VTU Inter-Collegiate Annual Athletic (Men & Women) 2016-17 at Dr T Thimmaiah Institute of Technology, Kolar Goldfields.


The Management – SJEC congratulated the Students and the Physical Education Directors for the wonderful achievement.









The prizes bagged by SJEC are -

1) Third place in march past.
2) Mohith Swaroop IV year Civil won the first place in 110 mtr hurdles.
3) Kripa Maria Sebastian IV year CS won the first place in hammer throw.
4) George Varghese IV year  Mech placed third in 100 mtr.
5) Joyal Lesly Tauro IV year secured the third place in 400 mtr Hurdles.
6) Antony Varghese IV year  Mech, George Varghese IV year  Mech, Brendan D’Souza II year E&E and Mr Mohith Swaroop IV year Civil finish first in 4x100 mtr relay  for men.
7) Gokul Pai IV year CS, Nagaraj III year CS,  Arjun III year Mech and Joyal Tauro IV Year Civil, came second in 4x400mtr relay for men.
8) Natasha D’Silva II year E&E, Shravya II year E&C, Loriena D’Sa  IV year E&C and Nisha Hegde I Year E&E finished second in 4x100mtr relay  for women.
9)SJEC Men team has secured runners-up trophy in men overall championship.
