Many things need to be done. Toilets in and around Mangalore stink and that will make the tourists runaway. Toilets everywhere must be kept clean so that they do not become noxious.

Little Sri Lanka gets more tourists than big India.

Hilary Bangalore, who said that India does not have tourist I think that you have not visited some good tourists hubs of India. You should go to Agra, Rajasthan, Goa, etc and you will be shocked when you see the tourists mostly foreigners. Mangalore toilets are better than the Bangalore roads which are dirty and filled with rubbish. Most of the tourists spots in Mangalore have good and clean toilets.

I hope there was enough arrangements to exchange foreign currency to Indian rupees without standing in the Queue.
Tourism should be encouraged with due importance to infrastructure, security, facilities in all direction. More revenue will be collected mainly in foreign currency.

Cruises from different Lines touching the Newport of Mangalore has multiple advantages for the City as well as the Community. The Cruise passengers hailing from different parts of the world, predominantly the elderly people have more time to relax and enjoy the touristic beauty of Mangalore and take with them some of the pleasant memories with them to their families and friends about Mangalore.

Tourism is the backbone of our economy in India because we have so much to offer to the tourists about our culture, our history and most importantly our fast growth in Education and Economy.

In addition to Cruise passengers going across to so many touristic spots, also try and bring some of the local talented groups, particularly the folk dancers and folk music to the port area and demonstrate to the remaining passengers staying on board plus the crew members some of our local entertaining right at the docking area.

Cruise passengers are always fond of photography of various scenic beauties, hence create some new attractions at the port itself so that passengers will take with them some of the pictures that a worth a million dollars.

All these additional attractions should come from the City of Mangalore as a token of goodwill to the Cruise Liners who will bring more cruise ships in the future to Mangalore.

While the passengers return to the cruise ship give them a fresh flower as a token of goodwill. Honor the Captain and the Crew in a special way. The Cruise ship has sufficient time of the daylight to enjoy some of the local hospitalities. Give a chance to the local schools to bring their talented students in order to give a special Dance performance at the docks. Every gesture from the port is a valuable gift to the Cruise Ship.
