Udupi: Senior citizen knocked down, killed by private bus

Udupi, Dec 1: On Wednesday November 30,  an old-aged pedestrian was killed near Karkala Junction at Padubidri on national highway 66. He has been identified as Seedi Bava (65), resident of Kanchinadka, Padubidri.

Bava was walking on the road near Karkala Junction at Padubidri downtown, when a private bus that was moving towards Mangaluru from the direction of Udupi hit him. Bava, who suffered serious injuries due to the seriousness of the accident, was  immediately taken to hospital. However, because of injuries suffered in his skull region, he died.

Bava is survived by two sons and a daughter.  Padubidri have registered a case and begun investigation.
