Udupi: Teenager complains of attack by gang

Udupi, Dec 2: In an incident which happened at Hanumanth Nagar here on the evening of Wednesday, November 30, a teenage student was reportedly attacked by a gang of young people.

Muhammed Syed Arshad (17), son of Muhammed Aris from Hanumanth Nagar filed this complaint in the town police station here. He said that he was returning home after watching annual day function of Milagres School where his brothers study, when Deepak and Adarsh, who were seated on a motorbike, chased him and intercepted him. "Under instructions from Deepak and Adarsh, some others  arrived there. Deepak slapped me on my cheeks while Shodhan attacked me with helmet. Another man, Pavan,  hit behind my head with a Pepsi bottle. The others also joined these people by hitting me with sticks and kicking, besides posing threat to my life," Arshad said in his complaint.

The policemen, who have filed the complaint, have begun the investigation.
