New Jersey: MCA-EC celebrates cheery annual Christmas gala

Media Release

USA, Dec 13: 'It’s the most wonderful time of the year' from the classic song by Andy William’s still holds true even today. Come December and all the stores are decked with Christmas decorations, Christmas trees are also decked up in everyone’s houses. There's a warm feeling of joy and love all over. Rightly so as this is in preparation for the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. With birth, there is a birthday, and with birthday, there are celebrations. With the whole world celebrating this wonderful occasion, the spirited and dynamic MCA-EC is not far behind.

MCA-EC had their annual Christmas gala at Chutney Mary (now known as Ember) on the December 10. This event was attended by almost 375 people from various parts of the East Coast namely New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut etc. The event began at 6 pm with people checked-in by the vibrant treasurer Violet Monis and general secretary Sydney Lasrado. As soon as people were checked-in, they proceeded to take family photos at a dazzling photo booth setup by owners of Party Zenith aka Arine Aranha and president, Bernie Pinto-D’Souza. The pictures were clicked by the photographer Melanie Martins. She captured all the precious moments not just in the photo booth but throughout the entire event.
