Bengaluru, Dec 21: The inauguration of the new office of Janata Dal (Secular) party in Bengaluru next year is expected to be converted into a major political event with former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda planning to invite almost all the top political bigwigs in the country.

The date of inauguration is expected to be finalised soon, possibly after ascertaining the convenience of the national leaders.

If the JD(S) national president Deve Gowda’s plans fructify, BJP stalwart L K Advani, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav among others will be the dignitaries attending function.

The new JD(S) office is proposed to be named JP Bhavan.

''''We plan to invite all the prominent leaders, who were part of the Sampoorna Kranti (total revolution) movement of LoknayakJayaprakash Narayan," Gowda said.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who was very close to Deve Gowda till he joined Congress party and had taken active part in the recent dispute over the Cauvery water sharing issue, is expected to be invited as the Chief Minister was instrumental in allowing the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) granting the land to JD(S) to establish its party headquarters.
