Mangaluru: Unidentified body found under bridge, murder suspected

Mangaluru, Dec 23: Unidentified body of a male was found at Kanikatta bridge in Badaga Yekkar near Bajpe on Thursday, December 22.

The deceased could be aged between 28 and 30. Police suspect that it is a murder case as there are injury marks on head and forehead.

Police sources said that going by the characteristics of the body, they believe that the person was a North Indian, probably a marble worker.

The locals saw the body floating in water at the edge of the river bank under the bridge and then the police were called.

Canine squad and fingerprint experts arrived at the spot. DCP Sanjeev Patil visited the place with other senior police personnel. Investigation is on.
