Mangaluru, Dec 27: Relating to the murder of RTI activist, Vinayak P Baliga, with lethal weapons near his home in the city on March 21 this year, investigating officer in the case has filed additional charge sheet in the third first class judicial magistrate's court here.
Assistant police commissioner, Uday Nayak, filed the additional charge sheet containing 325 pages on December 17, it is gathered. The charge sheet contains details of examination of 130 witnesses. This is in addition to about 750 pages charge sheet filed initially.
It is learnt that the officials have still time to file additional charge sheets if and when required. As per information, report of the forensic science laboratory and also blood sample test report are yet to be received by the investigators. Therefore, the officials said that they have kept the option to file additional charge sheet open.
