Bengaluru: Police hunt for miscreant who created CM's fake Twitter handle

Bengaluru, Dec 30 : The cyber crime police are trying to trace the miscreant who created a fake Twitter handle closely resembling Chief Minister Siddaramaih’s official Twitter account.

The Twitter handle @CMokarnataka created by the miscreant resembled the CM’s official handle @CMofKarnataka. Satirical and derogatory remarks were posted from this account. All tweets were deleted after the complaint was lodged.

The cyber police said they are trying to trace the miscreant with the help of the IP address. It is believed that the remarks posted by the miscreant created lots of embarrassment to the chief minister and government as many people took the remarks seriously without knowing that those came from fake account.

    This CM is an embraessment himself, it was not the hacker of his twitter account. Firstly he selfishly hopped party to be a CM. Secondly the watch controversy, Cauvery failure, nepotimsm, various Bhagyas, Jayanthis were a disaster, this was the biggest embaressment that was prior to hacking.
