Udupi, Dec 31: BJP Youth Morcha held protests near Clock tower here on Friday, December 30 condemning the statement by Karnataka state Congress president and Karnataka home minister Dr G Parameshwar that Prime Minister Modi should be burnt in connection with banning of currency notes. They set fire to the effigy of Dr G Parameshwar.

Former BJP district president Udayakumar Shetty addressing the protesters questioned the arrogance of Parameshwar from respectable position who gave a childish statement that the Prime Minister should be burnt. “We will therefore burn him. The statement is condemnable. He should apologize to the nation," he said.

Former MLA Raghupati Bhat, BJP Youth morcha leaders Yashpal Suvarna, Prabhakar Poojary and others were present.
