Ericsson deploys 'OSS fulfilment suite' for Jio


New Delhi, March 1 (IANS): Swedish communication technology firm Ericsson on Wednesday said that it has successfully deployed an end-to-end Operations Support System (OSS) fulfilment suite for Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited.

The OSS deployment includes order management, inventory management and activation solutions. 

"The deployment of the OSS stack by Ericsson is helping us in critical areas like order management and activation solutions thereby giving customers an enhanced user experience," said Jyotindra Thacker, President, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, in a statement.

"This business-critical platform is robust, scalable and fully supports Jio's ambitious expansion plans. Ericsson will continue to partner Jio in enabling its vision of providing a future-ready network for every Indian," added Paolo Colella, Head of Region India, Ericsson. 

The deployment, which by far is the largest deployment by any single operator anywhere in the world, has helped Jio achieve faster onboarding and provide quality service to its over 100 million users.
