Udupi: Youth commits suicide on railway tracks

Udupi, Mar 7: A frustrated youth chose to commit suicide by lying across railway tracks. The incident happened on the railway tracks located below the bridge at Indrali in the city on the night of Monday March 6.

The youth in question, identified as Manjunath Muddanakoppa (25) belonged to Jinnur village in Kalghatagi taluk, Dharwad district.

Manjunath ended his life at around 10 pm on Monday. His body was crushed into pieces after a train moved over him. A case about this suicide was filed in Manipal police station. The police personnel have taken up investigation.
