Mangaluru: Modi has ushered 'Bure Din' for general public - Mohammed Kunjhi

Mangaluru, Mar 9: Strongly condemning the hike in the price of non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) by a steep Rs 86 per cylinder, district Janata Dal (Secular) staged a protest near the DC's office on Thursday, March 9.



Addressing protestors, district JD(S) president Mohammed Kunjhi said, "The price of LPG was Rs 400 when the present union government came into power more than two years ago. The price has now skyrocketed to almost Rs 800. This can be called nothing but 'Bure Din' (Bad Days) from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the public. None of the ministers from BJP including MP Nalin Kumar Kateel are raising their voice against rising prices. The district administration failed to take control of the situation during the recent hartal of Sangh Parivar against the visit of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. We are confused if we have Congress government or RSS government here in the state. As the owners and drivers of private buses belong to BJP, the bandh got full support. No concrete measures were taken to stop the bandh. Congress and BJP are trying to fool people for their own political benefit in the state".  

Youth JD(S) president Akshith Suvarna said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi had coined the slogan 'Achhe din aane waale hain' (good days are coming) during the general elections of 2014. But today, he has disillusioned people with fake promises and this is nothing but the 'Bure din' for the citizens of the country. Modi also promised to generate employment, but youth are still facing employment issues and loitering jobless which is leading to increasing number of suicides. Now the union government has raised the price of non-subsidised cooking gas by a steep Rs 86 per cylinder which has created lot of problems for the poor and middle class people. Demonetisation led to several problems and the situation in remote areas has still not returned to normal. People find it very difficult to avail their own hard earned money. The state government is filled with corrupted leaders. They have hit headlines in dairy and steel bridge controversy. This is nothing but the faliure of the state government".

JD(S) leaders Hyder Parthipaady, Vasanth Poojary, Madhusoodan Gowda and others were present.

    All these events are gimmick to get people's attention.As a opposition party they need to do something or else they forgo their existence.answer for this is already gave in UP,UK,MN and Goa assembly results.
