Manju's visit came after date for Krishna's official entry into BJP was fixed.

After Congress veteran Krishna announced that he is leaving his party, there were expectations that his supporters and some legislators from the Congress might follow suit. Some had analyzed that these people may wait till the declaration of the next assembly election before moving in this direction.

Krishna will be joining BJP at a function on March 15. On Monday, he is scheduled to visit the temple of his family deity, Malemahadeshwara Swamy, along with his wife, Prema, and offer puja to the Lord. Thereafter he will be leaving for New Delhi.

In the midst of these developments, the fact that Manju chose to meet Krishna and hold discussions with him for sometime have confused political pundits, who have been unable to think  of the purpose of this meeting.

A senior Congress Leader like Krishna should have taken retirement at this age rather than changing his party to another after achieving so much in life. People of Karnataka have always respected him; but they will not tolerate this move at this age. He could have fought within the Congress. Yet - greed for political survival takes over.
