Mangalore, Mar 14: The young generation is the future of India, said Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management professor emeritus N K Thingalaya, calling on them to serve the country as best as they can. 

He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Verve 2008’, a national-level business school meet at St Aloysius College on Thursday. 

In India, a large percentage of management graduates come from institutes which are part of universities and colleges. These students serve the country, whereas most of the students from top business schools look for foreign countries, he said.

Speaking about the theme of the event ‘Corporate Jungle’, Thingalaya said that in India, the corporate jungle was deep. “We have gurukulas in these jungles which are providing good training to students.” 

He defined MBA as “Meaningful Business Assets” and asked the youth to serve society. If you are clear of the destination, destiny will help you, Thingalaya added. 

In his speech, director Fr Denzil Lobo said the youth need to be trained as leaders in industry, business and also be entrepreneurs. 

Verve will continue till March 15 and will have various events like ‘Ice Breaker’, HR events, business Quiz, team building, marketing event, Best CEO and finance event.
