Mangaluru, May 3: Dakshina Kannada district BJP spokesperson, Jitendra S Kottary, has come down heavily on district in-charge minister, B Ramanath Rai, for accusing Sangh Parivar activists in the murder of Karopadi gram panchayat vice president, Jaleel Karopadi.

"Rai is continuing with his old habit of blaming Hindu outfits for anything and everything that goes wrong. The police who have arrested the accused in the said case have been finding out their backgrounds. Making statements when the investigation is progressing does not behoove of the person occupying the position of state minister," he stated.

Kottary said in a release that various theories are making the rounds about the said murder including personal rivalry and dissidence within Congress over the post of the vice president. He stressed that Sangh Parivar has no link with this murder. Kottary felt that Ramanath Rai has been trying to win over the confidence of members of Muslim community and Muslim organizations through such gestures at a time when they are in friction with the minister over different issues.
