Udupi: Thieves decide against theft, shows CCTV footage

Udupi, May 6: Two persons, broke into Jyothi Jewellery store at Brahmavar in the wee hours of Saturday, May 6 but decided to leave the shop without robbing it.

The shop contained silver and golden materials but the ornaments were left untouched.

It is said that they drilled a hole into the wall that made up the backside of the shop, and entered at 2.30 am, but went back empty handed.

There were four CCTVs installed in the shop. Police collected the footages which showed two masked persons. The police opine that the persons in the footage may have decided against the robbery due to fear of getting caught.

Suresh Acharya, the owner of the jewellery shop, got to know of the incident on Friday morning while opening the door of the shop.

A case regarding the same has been registered at Brahmavar Police station.
