Mangaluru: Murder-attempt accused Ahmed Qureshi granted bail

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, May 6: Ahmed Qureshi, the accused in an attempt-to-murder case who made headlines over claims by his family and some organizations that he had been subjected to police atrocity, has been granted bail by the VI additional district and sessions court here.

Judge Puttaranga Swamy granted bail to Qureshi on the condition that he execute a bond of Rs one lac.

Qureshi is currently under treatment at Wenlock hospital.

While on bail, he will have to appear before the police three times a month.

His lawyer Dinesh Ulaipady said that though CID had obtained permission to examine Qureshi in jail on April 25, none of the CID officers have met him to this day.

He also expressed suspicions over a document related to the case alleged to have been obtained by the CID from the court being posted in a WhatsApp group. "The said order is dated May 4, 2017. The question arises how the confidential document was handed over to a private party," he said.

Ahmed Qureshi was arrested in March in connection to the murder attempt on Prakash Poojary in Suratkal. His brothers and some organizations, particularly the PFI, have been claiming that he was tortured in police custody, and alleging that he lost a kidney because of it. The police have denied the claims.

Did he forget to praise Modi?. Everything would have been solved, no money wasted on bail, instead would have got "Clean Chit" without breaking sweat and a ready made MP seat. Still the opportunity is knocking at the door.

    Here are interesting points

Why police did not produce him in stipulated time(AS REQUIRED BY LAW)

Did Police take him Hospital before taking him to Custody?

Why is police department so interested with him pertaining to MURDER ACCUSATION ?

How did he get bail if Police did their home work?

Certainly, there is lapse in police duty and now post mortem would be done by CID or other agency then only police will understand that laws are equal to police and others and even for accused. If police did atrocity ,certainly will pay for it.
